Today, Intel published a supply update letter to customers here . Although Intel is working hard to regain supply-demand balance, it remains a challenge. Separately, Intel is reaffirming our previous guidance for the fourth quarter, issued in our earnings release dated Oct. 24, 2019.

Intel Apologizes for Supply Issues, Confirms Q4 Guidance

Intel has published a letter confirming its own supply issues in Q3 of this year, while simultaneously affirming its overall guidance for Q4. The letter, from Michelle Johnston Holthaus, GM of the Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group at Intel, acknowledges and apologizes for the yearlong PC supply shortage that Intel’s OEM customers have been grappling with.

IC Insights Confirms Intel’s Retaking of the Semiconductor Throne | Tom’s Hardware

Samsung’s time atop the semiconductor market was short-lived. The company managed to overtake Intel as the market leader in 2017, but according to an IC Insights report published earlier this week, the processor-maker has retaken its throne even though its worldwide sales actually declined between 2018 and 2019.
